Ways To Enjoy The MAiZE
The MAiZE is an intricate design with several miles of pathways, although the correct path can be navigated in 20 to 30 minutes, the average maze navigator takes about 1 hour or more. There are two phases to the maze as well as a “mini maze” for the youngest children to enjoy. Generally one phase is a little shorter than the other and less difficult. Strollers and wheelchairs can navigate but it will be a challenge. To help navigate the maze a series of “passports” are available. Each passport contains ten questions that quiz the user on one of a variety of subjects; those who answer the questions correctly will receive clues that guide them along the correct path to the exit. The MAiZE at Goss Farm has something for all ages including our Cow Train, Corn Box, Farm Animals, Hayrides, Corn Cannon, Cornundrums, Kettle Corn, Ice Cream and more! A concession is available with Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Drinks.
Field Trips
The MAiZE at Goss Farm is open to the public every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. During the week days the MAiZE caters to school field trips and has created an elementary education campaign that includes: customized ag-in-the-classroom lesson plans and activity sheets for teachers, discounted field trip opportunities, and an agricultural “passport” that integrates education into the maze experience and helps guide students along the correct pathway. Teachers can access curriculum materials and field trip information online at www.TheMaize.com Please call 978-649-7688 to reserve a time for your class to experience a great educational field trip.
*The cornfield maze is a real cornfield therefore uneven surfaces are common. Strollers are not recommended unless it is the bicycle tire type. Wheelchairs are welcome but may work with difficulty. Dogs are not allowed unless they are service dogs. No exceptions. After a rain storm, the paths may be muddy, so dress accordingly!
